Composition
Each p / o tablet contains:
Famotidine — 40mg.
Properties
Famotidine is a competitive inhibitor of histamine H2 receptors. It works by reducing the amount of acid secreted by the stomach.
Indications
Treatment and prevention of ulcers in the stomach and intestines. Conditions in which the stomach produces too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other conditions in which acid passes from the esophagus into the stomach, causing heartburn.
Mode of application:
For heartburn, dyspepsia and indigestion — 1 tablet as needed when symptoms occur or 3060 minutes before meals; no more than 2 tablets per day. If symptoms persist for 5 d or if symptoms recur within 2 weeks after completion of the course, clinical investigation
Contraindications
Childhood; hypersensitivity to any component of the drug; pregnancy and lactation.
Precautions:
Malignant neoplasms of the stomach should be excluded. Famotidine does not exclude the presence of a malignant stomach tumor. No dose adjustment is required in the elderly.
Side effects
Headache, constipation, or diarrhea; labored breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat; rapid heartbeat with severe dizziness; unexplained muscle pain, weakness, fever, unusual tiredness, dark urine.
Storage
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25C i dry place out of the reach of children.
