Description:
Arcoxia is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
Indications
reduces pain and swelling (inflammation) in joints and muscles in people 16 years and older with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and gout. Short-term treatment of moderate pain after dental surgery.
Mode of application:
It is taken orally, regardless of food intake. Recommended dose: for osteoarthritis — 30 mg once a day, if necessary, increase to 60 mg once a day. Rheumatoid arthritis — 60 mg once a day, if necessary — 90 mg once a day. Ankylosing spondylitis — 60 mg once a day, if necessary — 90 mg once a day. Etoricoxib should only be used during an acute painful period. For gout — 120 mg once a day, used only for an acute painful period, maximum 8 days of treatment. Postoperative pain during dental operations — 90 mg once a day, the duration of treatment is no more than 3 days. People with liver problems: mild cases — should not exceed 60 mg per day. Moderate liver disease — no more than 30 mg per day. Use caution in elderly patients. Do not take a double dose
Side effects
Infectious and parasitic diseases; anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, hypersensitivity reactions; angioedema, anaphylactic reactions, decreased or increased appetite, weight gain, anxiety, depression, hallucinations; anxiety. Dizziness, headache, insomnia, drowsiness. Blurred vision, conjunctivitis, ringing in the ears, vertigo. Arrhythmia, arterial hypertension, tachycardia, chronic heart failure, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular accident, hypertensive crisis, vasculitis. Cough, shortness of breath. Constipation, flatulence, gastritis, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, ulcerative stomatitis, dryness of the oral mucosa, stomach or duodenal ulcer, irritable bowel syndrome, pancreatitis, hepatitis, liver failure, jaundice. Puffiness of the face, itching, rash, hives, Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Muscle spasms / cramps, pain / stiffness. Proteinuria, renal failure.
Pregnancy and lactation:
should not be used during pregnancy. It is not known whether Etoricoxib is excreted in human milk. Therefore, it is recommended to stop breastfeeding w using the drug.
Storage
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30C, out of reach of children.
