Properties
Clotrimazole is a broad spectrum antifungal agent that acts as a fungicide.
Indications
Candidiasis (also caused by Candida), shingles, skin infections such as fungus of the foot, large skin folds, and ringworm.
Mode of application:
A sufficient amount is applied to the affected and surrounding areas of the skin 2 times a day and rubbed gently in the morning and evening. The duration of treatment depends on the location and extent of the infection. Symptom relief usually occurs within the first week of treatment. If the patient does not show clinical improvement after 4 weeks, the diagnosis should be reconsidered. For children, use after consulting a doctor.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or any of th excipients.
Precautions:
Avoid getting the cream in the eyes. Tell your doctor if signs of increased irritation (redness, burning, swelling, swelling, juiciness) appear in the area of application, the treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapy prescribed. Avoid sources of infection or reinfection.
Side effects
Erythema, burning, blistering, scaling, edema, itching, urticaria, and general skin irritation.
Storage
