Allear
Composition
Each 5 ml of syrup contains 2.5 mg of levocetirizine dihydrochloride.
Auxiliary components:
Sodium acetate, acetic acid, liquid maltose, glycerin, sodium methyl paraben, sodium propyl paraben, banana flavor, purified water.
Properties
Levocetirizine, the R-enantiomer of cetirizine, is a competitive histamine antagonist. Blocks HI-histamine receptors. The affinity for Hlhistamine receptors in levocetirizine is 2 times higher than that of cetirizine.
Levocetirizine affects the histamine-dependent stage of allergic reactions, and also reduces the migration of eosinophils, vascular permeabilit and limits the release of inflammatory mediators.
Levocetirizine prevents the development and facilitates the course of allergic reactions, has an antiexudative, antipruritic effect and practically does not cause anticholinergic and antiserotonin. In therapeutic doses, it has practically no sedative effect.
