Structure:
Each gram of ointment contains:
Chloramphenicol and collagenase 0.6 IU
Auxiliary components:
Lipophilic anhydrous base.
Properties
Antibacterial, wound cleansing, wound healing.
Prevents the development of infection, promotes the cleansing and granulation of wounds, accelerates regeneration.
Indications
Ulceration and necrosis (varicose ulcers, bedsores, burns of II and III degrees, trophic ulcers of the extremities, including diabetic, frostbite), long-term non-healing wounds (postoperative, radiation, traumatic soft tissue injuries), skin preparation before transplantation.
Method of administration and dosage:
Locally, it is applied 1-2 times a day on a moistened wound surface, the softened necrotic tissue is removed. To avoid possible irritation, zinc paste can be applied around the edges of the wound. The effect occurs in the first 6 days of use.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, history of blood diseases.
Precautions:
The use of other topical agents (with the exception of saline) should be avoided due to the possible inactivation of collagenase (proteolytic component).
Side effects
Irritation, burning and pain at the site of application, allergic reactions.
Storage method:
At a temperature not higher than 25 degrees.
