Composition
Each 100 ml of suspension contains:
Sulfamethoxazole 2 g
Trimethoprim 0.4 g
Kaolin 19.3 g
Pectin 0.43 g.
Properties
Capect is a flavored suspension containing a synergistic combination of sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim, which has a bactericidal spectrum against a broad spectrum of gramnegative and gram-positive bacteria. Thus, it is useful and effective in the treatment of infectious diarrhea caused by bacteria susceptible to sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim.
Capect also contains a safe and effective combination of kaolin and pectin to treat diarrhea. Both kaolin and pectin adsorb gases, bacteria, and toxins from the gastrointestinal tract, and in addition, pectin acts as a sedative to protect the intestinal mucosa.
Indications
-Nonspecific diarrhea.
Diarrhea associated with intestinal infections.

Contraindications
-Increased sensitivity to the drug.
-heat;
pseudomembranous colitis.
Side effects
In a mild form:
nausea, headache, allergic reactions.
