CoAprovel
Compound:
Each p / o tablet contains:
Irbesartan — 300mg.
Hydrochlorothiazide 25mg
Auxiliary components: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, red and yellow iron oxide, starch, opadrium Il pink, carnauba wax.
Properties
CoAprovel is a combination of two active substances, irbesartan and hydrochlorothiazide. Irbesartan belongs to the group of angiotensin Il receptor antagonists. Angiotensin Il is a substance produced in the body that binds to receptors in blood vessels, causing them to contract, which leads to high blood pressure. Irbesartan prevents the binding of angiotensin-ll to these receptors, causing relaxation of blood vessels and lowering blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that causes increased urine production and decreased blood pressure.
Indications
Treatment of hypertension when monotherapy with irbesartan or hydrochlorothiazide does not provide adequate blood pressure control.
Mode of application:
Consult a physician before use. Recommended dose: 1 tablet daily. Inside, swallow the tablet with a sufficient amount of liquid, regardless of food intake. The daily dose should be taken at about the same time every day. The maximum effect of lowering blood pressure should be achieved 6-8 weeks after starting treatment. If you accidentally miss a daily dose, just take the next dose as usual. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
Contraindications
Children under the age of 18; hypersensitivity to irbesartan or to any of the other ingredients of the drug; pregnancy and lactation; severe liver or kidney problems, difficulty urinating; with the constant presence of high levels of calcium in the blood or low levels of potassium; diabetes; simultaneous reception with aliskiren.
Precautions:
When using the drug in patients with renal failure, periodic monitoring of the concentration of potassium and serum creatinine is recommended. In patients with psoriasis (including a history), the decision to use the drug should be made only after a careful assessment of the risk/ benefit ratio due to the possible exacerbation of the course of psoriasis. Patients with aortic or mitral stenosis or hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy require caution. As with the use of other antihypertensive drugs, a significant decrease in blood pressure in patients with coronary artery disease and / or severe cerebral atherosclerosis can lead to the development of myocardial infarction or stroke. Treatment should be carried out under the control of blood pressure.
