Composition

Each tablet contains:

Mebeverine hydrochloride 135 mg

Dimethicone 40 mg

Properties

Mebeverine hydrochloride

Myotropic antispasmodic, has a direct effect on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract without affecting the normal intestinal motility. The exact mechanism of action is unknown, but multiple mechanisms, such as decreased ion channel permeability, blockade of norepinephrine reuptake, local anesthetic action, and altered water absorption can cause mebeverine to act locally on the gastrointestinal tract. Through these mechanisms, mebeverine exhibits an antispasmodic effect, normalizing intestinal motility and not causing constant relaxation of smooth muscle cells of the gastrointestinal tract («hypotension»).

Indications

Treatment of functional bowel disorders such as: — Irritable bowel syndrome. — Pain in the abdomen. — Flatulence. — Bloating and dyspepsia. — Postoperative gas pains.

Method of administration and dosage:

one tablet 3 or 4 times a day, preferably 30 minutes before meals.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Side effects

Subject to the dosing regimen, no side effects were observed.

Storage method:

At a temperature not higher than 30 degrees. In a dry place.
