Tradename
Vildaglus
Composition
Each tablet contains:
Vildagliptin 50 mg

Hypoglycemic agent. Vildagliptin is a representative of the class of stimulants of the islet apparatus of the pancreas; it selectively inhibits the enzyme dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4). Rapid and complete inhibition of DPP-4 activity (> 90%) causes an increase in both basal and food-stimulated secretion of glucagon-like peptide type 1 (GLP-I) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) from the intestine into the systemic circulation throughout the day.
Indications
Type 2 diabetes mellitus: as monotherapy in combination with diet therapy and exercise; as part of a two-component combination therapy with metformin, sulfonylurea derivatives, thiazolidinedione or insulin in case of ineffectiveness of diet therapy, exercise and monotherapy with these drugs.
Method of administration and dosage:
The method of application and dosage regimen of a particular drug depends on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly observe the compliance of the used dosage form of a particular drug with the indications for use and the dosage regimen.

It is not recommended for use in patients with severely impaired liver function, incl. with an increase in ALT or AST activitY> 2.5 times higher than ULN.
