Composition
Each capsule contains:
Chlorzoxazone 250 mg
Ibuprofen 200 mg
Auxiliary components: hydroxypropyl cellulose, sodium docusate, sodium lauryl sulfate, talc, magnesium stearate.
Properties
Chlorzoxazone is a centrally acting muscle relaxant. Its main action is to influence the spinal cord and subcortical regions of the brain, suppressing the mechanisms responsible for excessive muscle tone.
Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug derived from propionic acid that suppresses inflammation. Also reduces side effects from the gastrointestinal tract. In patients who have experienced gastrointestinal side effects while taking aspirin, ibuprofen has been shown to be better tolerated, but doses should be carefully monitored. Clinical studies have also demonstrated analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.
Indications
Skeletal muscle pains and spasms in cases of sprains and dislocations, muscle pains, neck stiffness, headaches, muscle injuries, cervical spine syndrome.
Method of administration and dosage:
1-2 capsules a day after meals.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. In patients with hypersensitivity (bronchospasm, other allergic reactions), the drug is used with caution.
Side effects
The most common are:
nausea, epigastric pain, heartburn, indigestion, flatulence. Rarely:
stomach ulcer. intestinal bleeding, gastritis,
