Composition
Each tablet contains:
Bisacodyl 5 mg
Properties
Bisacodyl increases the secretion of mucus in the large intestine, accelerates and increases its peristalsis. The action is due to direct stimulation of nerve endings in the mucous membrane of the large intestine. When taken orally, it is absorbed from the intestines in a minimal amount. The laxative effect usually occurs after 6 hours, when taken before bedtime — after 8-12 hours.
Indications
@ constipation due to hypotension and sluggish peristalsis of the colon, in particular after operations, childbirth, dietary intake, in old age;
@ preoperative preparation and preparation of the colon for X-ray and endoscopic examination.

Contraindications
intestinal obstruction; acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal organs; abdominal pain of unknown origin; bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract; uterine bleeding; cystitis; spastic constipation; acute hemorrhoids; acute proctitis; violations of water and electrolyte balance. Precautions:
Bisacodyl is used with caution in patients with liver and kidney disease.
Pediatric use: Bisacodyl tablets are not used in children under 6 years of age.
Side effects
Nausea, abdominal pain, bloating, feeling of heaviness, in rare cases — mucus and blood during and after stool. Long-term use of bisacodyl in large doses can lead to excessive loss of water and electrolytes, which, in turn, can lead to muscle weakness, cardiac disorders, convulsions, arterial hypotension.
Storage method:
