Composition

Each gram of gel contains:

Piroxicam 5 mg

Auxiliary components:

carbomer, ethanol 95%, propylene glycol, trolamine, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water.

Properties

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug from the oxicam group. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects.

The mechanism of action is associated with inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis due to inhibition of cyclooxygenase activity.

Relieves pain syndrome. Weakens or reliev inflammation and pain in joints at rest and during movement, reduces morning stiffness and swelling of the joints, helps to increase the range of motion.

Indications

For systemic and external use: articular syndrome (rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout), back pain, neuralgia, myalgia, traumatic inflammation of soft tissues and musculoskeletal system. For systemic use: dysmenorrhea in patients over 12 years old, acute infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract.

Method of administration and dosage:

Topically applied 3-4 times / day.

Contraindications

-indications in the history of bronchial asthurticaria, acute rhinitis associated with the intake of acetylsalicylic acid and other NSAI s;

peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase;

disturbances in the picture of peripheral blood of unknown origin (including in the anamnesis);

Side effects

On the part of the digestive system: often heartburn, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract with possible bleeding and perforations (the frequency of these disorders increases with an increase in the daily dose of the drug).

From the side of the central nervous system: dizziness, headache, drowsiness, disorientation.

Allergic reactions: itching, urticaria.
