Composition
Each sachet contains:
Piperazine citrate 0.1408 g (up to 0.128 g piperazine hydrate).
Colchicine 0.3 mg.
Atropine sulfate 0.128 mg.
Auxiliary components:
sodium bicarbonate, anhydrous citric acid, tartaric acid, PVP, lemon oil, sucrose.
Properties
Piperazine has been known for many years as an effective drug in the treatment of gout and urinary tract lithiasis.
It increases the solubility of urate in urine and has low toxicity.
Colchicine provides rapid pain relief in acute attacks of gout, and the drug is specific for this condition, so it can be used as a diagnostic agent for gout and gouty arthritis. Colchicin has anti-inflammatory properties. While it is very effective in treating acute gouty arthritis,
Indications
Acute and chronic gout.
Gouty arthritis.
For the prevention of urolithiasis.
Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.
Blood dyscrasia.
Acute dehydration, anuria, or hyperkalemia.
Side effects
Sometimes nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea may occur.
Storage method:
At a temperature not higher than 25 degrees. In a dry place.
