Each effervescent tablet contains:

Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) 1000 mg

Properties

Vitasid C effervescent tablets are available in a highly absorbable form, with an orange flavor. It is very well tolerated by adults and children.

Vitamin C is an essential coenzyme for collagen formation, tissue repair, and lipid and protein synthesis. It acts as both a reducing agent and an antioxidant. It is essential for many physiological metabolic functions in the body, such as the absorption of iron, carbohydrates and folic acid, increases resistance to infections, improves cellular respiration, and helps maintain the integrity blood vessels.

Indications

Vitamin C is recommended for the prevention and treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and scurvy.

Vitamin C is recommended for vitamin C deficiency symptoms such as gingivitis, bleeding gums and loose teeth.

Side effects

Large doses can cause diarrhea. Interaction with drugs: Acidification of urine with vitamin C can cause precipitation of urate salts or oxalate stones, and also change the excretion of some drugs administered simultaneously.

Vitamin C can cause false urine glucose test results in diabetics.

Large doses of vitamin C can interfere with the anticoagulant effect of warfarin drugs.
