Composition
Each gram of cream contains:
fusidic acid 20 mg
betamethasone valerate 1 mg
Auxiliary components:
macrogolcetostearate; cetostearyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol; chlorocresol; sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate; liquid paraffin, soft white paraffin; sodium hydroxide, purified water.
Properties
Fucicort@ is a combined preparation containing corticosteroids betamethasone and fusidic acid, which has an antibacterial effect.
Betamethasone has a pharmacological effect, suppressing local immune responses, incl. vasodilation, swelling and soreness.
Fusidic acid is an antibiotic with predominant activity against gram-positive bacteria. In particular, fusidic acid has activity against bacteria Staphylococcus aureus,
Indications
Dermatitis, allergic eczema and toxidermia infected with microorganisms sensitive to fusidic acid.
Method of administration and dosage:
Outwardly.
Contraindications
-increased sensitivity to drug components.
Considering the presence of GCS in the composition of the drug Fucicort, the following conditions and diseases:
-rosacea;
Side effects
On the part of the skin and skin appendages: infrequently — rash, exacerbation of eczema, skin irritation, itching, burning or tingling sensation of the skin; frequency unknown skin atrophy, contact dermatitis, urticaria, erythema, dry skin.
Although these reactions were not observed in clinical studies of the drug Fucicort, external use of GCS can lead to telangiectasias and striae, especially with prolonged use.
As in the case of other corticosteroids, folliculitis (steroid acne), hypertrichosis, perioral dermatitis, depigmentation, hemorrhagic rash, rosacea, prickly heat, skin maceration and systemic effects of corticosteroids may develop.
