Composition
Each tablet contains:
Cetirizine hydrochloride — 5mg.
Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride 120mg
Auxiliary components: lactose monohydrate, dibasic calcium phosphate, povidone K90, anhydrous colloidal silicon, magnesium stearate, ethylcellulose N-50, PEG 6000, talc, titanium dioxide.
Properties
Cetirizine hydrochloride is an orally active and selective H1 receptor antagonist. The antihistaminic activity of cetirizine has been well documented as anticholinergic and antiserotonergic activity. Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride is an adrenergic (vasoconstrictor) agent. It is an orally active sympathomimetic agent and has a decongestant effect on the nasal mucosa. An effective remedy for relieving nasal congestion in allergic rhinitis.
Indications
for the relief of nasal and non-nasal symptoms associated with seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children 12 years of age and older.
Mode of application:
do not break or chew the tablet, swallow it whole, regardless of the meal. Adults and children over 12 years of age: Take 1 tablet every 12 hours, do not exceed 2 tablets in 24 hours.
Contraindications
hypersensitivity to any of its components; patients with angle-closure glaucoma or urinary retention, severe hypertension, or severe coronary artery disease. Pregnancy and lactation.
Precautionary measures:
Sympathomimetic amines should be used judiciously and with caution in patients with hypertension, diabetes mellitus, ischemic heart disease, intraocular pressure, hyperthyroidism, renal failure or prostatic hypertrophy, and the elderly. Can cause stimulation of the central nervous system, accompanied by seizures or cardiovascular disease. Patients with reduced renal function should be given a lower starting dose (1 tablet per day). The simultaneous use of tablets with alcohol or other CNS depressants should be avoided, as additional deterioration of the central nervous system may occur.
Side effects
anorexia, increased salivation, urinary retention, convulsions, migraine, paralysis, fainting, tremor, dizziness, visual field disturbance; liver dysfunction, exacerbation of caries, constipation, belching, flatulence, gastritis, hemorrhoids, increased appetite, rectal hemorrhage, stomatitis, including ulcerative stomatitis, discoloration of the tongue, swelling of the tongue, urinary tract infection; deafness, ear pain, tinnitus.
Storage method:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30C in a dry place out of the reach of children.
