Composition
Each tablet contains:
Thiomonium methyl sulfate 50 mg
Auxiliary components:
Starch, sucrose, lactose, magnesium stearate, colodial silicone dioxide
Properties
Thiomonium methyl sulfate is a competitive antagonist of acetylcholine, histamine and strengthens the calcium bond with membrane phospholipids and proteins. Thus, it inhibits the intracellular contracting protein of the visceral cell, which causes inhibition of visceral spasm and pain.
Indications
Visceralgin is an antispasmodic drug that reduces muscle spasm in the intestines, biliary system, bladder and uterus. It is used for the symptomatic treatment of pain associated with functional disorders of the digestive tract and biliary systems. It is also indicated for the treatment of spasm and pain in urological and gynecological diseases.
Method of administration and dosage:
The recommended dose is 2 to 6 tablets per day.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in urethroprostatic disorder that can lead to urinary retention.
Also when there is a risk of developing glaucoma.
