Properties
Miconazole is an antifungal agent. It works by killing the fungus and associated bacteria.
Indications
for the treatment of fungal infections of the mouth, gums and throat.
Mode of application:
for oral use, keep the gel in the mouth as long as possible, apply after meals. If the infection is only in the mouth, apply the gel to the affected area with a clean finger. If you wear dentures, take them off before going to bed and clean them with gel. Mouth and throat infections: Adults and children over 2 years old: 2.5 ml (1/2 scoop) of gel is applied 4 times a day. Infants from 4 months to 2 years: 1.25 ml (1/4 scoop) of gel is applied 4 times a day. The duration of treatment is at least 1 week. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
Contraindications
children’s age up to 4 months; hypersensitivity to miconazole, any of the other ingredients of this medicine, or other antifungal medicines; liver disease; pregnancy and lactation.
Precautionary measures:
choking may occur, especially in infants and young children (from 4 months to 2 years) care is required so that the gel does not block the throat. The gel should not be applied to the back of the throat; on the nipple of a nursing woman for insertion into an infant. This medicinal product contains a small amount of ethanol.
Side effects
nausea, taste changes, vomiting, discomfort and dry mouth; allergic reactions.
Storage method:
Store at a temperature of 15 to 30C in the original packaging out of the reach of children.
