Salbutamol sulfate 2.4 mg
Guaiphenazine 50 mg
Auxiliary components:
Sodium benzoate, sodium sorbitol 70%, sodium saccharin, lemon oil, purified water.
Properties
Salbutamol is a bronchodilator that stimulates β2-adrenergic receptors of the bronchi, blood vessels and myometrium. Prevents or eliminates bronchospasm, reduces resistance in the airways, increases the vital capacity of the lungs. Causes expansion of the coronary arteries, does not reduce blood pressure.
Guaiphenazine is a mucolytic agent that reduces the surface tension of the structures of the broncho-pulmonary apparatus; stimulates the secretory cells of the bronchial mucosa that produce neutral polysaccharides, depolymerizes acid mucopolysaccharides, reduces the viscosity of sputum, activates the ciliary apparatus of the bronchi, facilitates the removal of sputum and promotes the transition of an unproductive cough into a productive one.
Indications
Acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases, accompanied by difficulty in sputum discharge: COPD (bronchial asthma, obstructive bronchitis, pulmonary emphysema); tracheobronchitis; pneumonia; pneumoconiosis; pulmonary tuberculosis.
Dosage and administration
Adults:
5-10 ml of syrup 2-3 times a day.
Children 2-6 years old:
Contraindications
tachyarrhythmia; myocarditis; aortic stenosis; decompensated diabetes mellitus; thyrotoxicosis; glaucoma; hepatic and / or renal failure; peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum (in the acute stage); arterial hypertension; stomach bleeding; pregnancy; lactation period; hypersensitivity to the components of the combination.
Caution:
Diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum (history); simultaneous use of antitussives, non-selective blockers of β-adrenergic receptors and MAO inhibitors.
Side effects
From the nervous system: headache, dizziness, increased nervous excitability, sleep disturbances, drowsiness, tremor, convulsions.
On the part of the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, exacerbation of peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, increased activity of hepatic transaminases (extremely rare).
From the side of the cardiovascular system: tachycardia, decreased blood pressure, collapse.
