Each 100 grams of gel contains:

Benzydamine hydrochloride 5 g

Properties

NSAID, indazole derivative, without carboxyl group. The absence of a carboxyl group gives the following features: benzydamine is a weak base (whereas most NSAIDs are weak acids), has a high lipophilicity, penetrates well into the inflammation site along the pH gradient (where the pH is lower) and accumulates in therapeutic concentrations.

The anti-inflammatory effect is due to a decrease in capillary permeability, stabilization of cell membranes due to inhibition of synthesis and inactivation of prostaglandins, histamine, bradykinin, cytokines, complement factors and other nonspecific endogenous damaging factors.

Indications

Topical anti-inflammatory and analgesic treatment to relieve symptoms associated with muscle pain, including:

— Acute inflammatory diseases such as myalgia and bursitis.

— Traumatic conditions, such as sprains, consequences of fractures.

Dosage and administration

Rub a small amount of gel into the skin with massage movements 3-6 times a day.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Precautionary measures:

Tantum Gel should not be applied to open wounds or mucosal surfaces. As with other topical agents, prolonged use may cause sensitization, in which case treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapy instituted.

Side effects

Local reactions such as erythema or rash may occur, and in some cases photosensitivity may occur.

Storage method:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees. In a dry place.
