Properties
Tetrizoline is a sympathomimetic drug that stimulates α-adrenergic receptors of the sympathetic nervous system, but has no or little effect on β-adrenergic receptors. Being a sympathomimetic amine, tetrizoline has a vasoconstrictive effect and reduces tissue edema.
Zinc sulfate has an antimicrobial, astringent, drying and local anti-inflammatory effect.
Indications
For temporary relief of discomfort and redness of the eyes with minor eye irritation. Relieves itching, burning, lacrimation due to pollen, dust, ragweed
Dosage and administration
The drug is applied topically.
Adults and children over 6 years of age are prescribed 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye up to 4 times / day.
For children under 6 years of age, use after consulting a doctor.
Contraindications
— angle-closure glaucoma;
— endothelial-epithelial dystrophy of the cornea;
— children’s age up to 2 years;
Side effects
On the part of the organs of vision: the frequency is unknown — increased lacrimation, pupil dilation.
General disorders and disorders at the injection site: the frequency is unknown — reactions at the injection site (including a burning sensation in the eye area, redness, irritation, swelling, pain, itching).
