Each 100 g contains:
Urea — 10g
Fillers:
White beeswax, cetyl alcohol, glycerin, tween 80 (polysorbate 80).
Methylparaben, sodium propylparaben, liquid paraffin, deionized water.
Indications
-For the treatment of ichthyosis and related hyperkeratotic skin conditions in atopic eczema, xeroderma, iasteatosis and other chronic dry skin conditions.
Mode of application:
Carbamide is applied topically. Rinse the affected areas well, wash off all traces of water exposure. Dry and apply a thin layer twice a day, leaving it to be absorbed well. Occlusive dressings may be used, but are usually not needed due to the self-occlusive nature of the cream.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Avoid application to damp or damaged skin.
Side effects
May cause local irritation (including erythema, burning or itching) and edema when applied to sensitive, moist or chapped skin.
Overdose:
Topical application of excessive amounts of urea may cause skin irritation, but no other effects are expected. Ingestion of large amounts of urea is expected to result in gastrointestinal irritation (nausea and vomiting).
