Compound:

Each gram of cream contains:

silver sulfadiazine 10 mg

Auxiliary components:

Cetyl alcohol, polysorbitol 60, propylene glycol, sodium alginate, methylparaben, propylparaben, citric acid monohydrate, purified water.

Properties

Broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent, sulfanilamide. It has a bactericidal effect.

The drug is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Proteus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Klebsiella spp.).

The bactericidal properties of the cream are due to the activity of silver ions, which are released in the wound as a result of the dissociation of the silver salt of sulfadiazine; the release of silver ions occurs gradually (moderate dissociation), ensuring the constancy of the antimicrobial effect. The bactericidal activity of silver ions is complemented by the bacteriostatic effect of sulfadiazine (also released during the dissociation of the silver salt of sulfadiazine).

Indications

treatment of infected burn wounds, bedsores, abrasions, skin ulcers, transplanted skin areas; as well as to prevent their infection.

Mode of application:

Apply externally.

Contraindications

-pregnancy;

— lactation period;

— pronounced deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase;

Side effects

Local reactions: burning and itching at the site of application, violation of skin pigmentation, skin allergic reactions, skin necrosis.

Storage

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees in a dark place.
