Properties

The contraceptive effect is carried out by suppressing ovulation and increasing the viscosity of the secretion of the cervix, as a result of which it becomes impermeable to spermatozoa.

In women taking COCs, the cycle becomes more regular, the pain and intensity of menstrual bleeding decrease, resulting in a reduced risk of iron deficiency anemia. In addition, there is evidence that the use of COCs reduces the risk of developing endometrial cancer and ovarian cancer.

Indications

Oral contraception.

Dosage and administration

Inside, without chewing, drinking a small amount of liquid. 1 tablet daily, at the same time, starting from the 1st day of menstruation. After the completion of taking the tablets from the first package, the next day, it is continued to be taken from the new package, without pausing between packages.

Contraindications

Thrombosis (venous and arterial); thromboembolism (including deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarction).

Migraine with focal neurological symptoms, incl. in history; diabetes mellitus with vascular complications; pancreatitis with severe hypertriglyceridemia, incl. in history; liver failure and severe liver disease (until liver tests return to normal); liver tumors (benign or malignant), incl. in history; identified hormone-dependent malignant neoplasms (including the genital organs or mammary glands) or suspicion of them.

The drug Lactevenor is contraindicated during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Side effects

From the gastrointestinal tract: often — nausea, abdominal pain; infrequently — vomiting, diarrhea.

From the nervous system: often — headache; infrequently — migraine.

Mental disorders: often — depression, mood swings.
