Evastine
Compound:
Each tablet contains:
Ebastine 10 mg
Auxiliary components:
Lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, purified talc, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, titanium dioxide.
Properties
Blocker of histamine H1 receptors from the group of piperidine derivatives. It has an anti-allergic effect. It is characterized by a long action (up to 48 hours), which is due to the formation of active metabolites. Unlike many blockers of histamine H1 receptors, ebastine has practically no m-anticholinergic activity, and also poorly penetrates into the central nervous system and does not have a pronounced sedative effect.
Indications
Allergic rhinitis (seasonal, perennial), idiopathic chronic urticaria, allergic diseases and conditions due to increased release of histamine.
Dosage and administration
Inside, regardless of the meal. Adults and children over 12 years old — 10-20 mg once a day (depending on the severity of symptoms).
Contraindications
Pregnancy, lactation, hypersensitivity to piperidine derivatives.
Precautionary measures:
Use with caution in patients with impaired liver and kidney function (in these cases, T1 / 2 of ebastine increases significantly).
