Compound:
Each tablet contains:
Paracetamol 500 mg
Caffeine 25 mg
Phenylephrine hydrochloride 5 mg
Auxiliary components:
Starch, povidone, potassium sorbate, sodium lauryl sulfate, stearic acid, talc and microcrystalline cellulose.
Properties
Combined drug. Eliminates the symptoms of colds, has antipyretic, psychostimulant and analgesic properties; causes narrowing of the vessels of the nose, eliminates swelling of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity and nasopharynx.
The onset of action is after 20-30 minutes, the duration is 4-4.5 hours.
Indications
Colds, influenza, SARS.
Dosage and administration
Adults:
Take 1-2 tablets 4 times a day.
Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity; simultaneous use of tricyclic antidepressants, MAO inhibitors, beta-blockers; pregnancy, lactation; children’s age (up to 6 years).
Precautionary measures:
Use with caution in patients with impaired liver and kidney function, with benign hyperbilirubinemia, as well as in elderly patients. With prolonged use of paracetamol, it is necessary to control the picture of peripheral blood and the functional state of the liver.
Side effects
On the part of the digestive system: rarely — dyspepsia, with prolonged use in high doses — hepatotoxic effects.
From the hemopoietic system: rarely — thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, pancytopenia, neutropenia, agranulocytosis.
Allergic reactions: rarely — skin rash, itching, urticaria.
