Properties

NSAIDs. Celecoxib has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects.

Indications

symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis; pain syndrome: back pain, musculoskeletal, postoperative and other types of pain; treatment of primary dysmenorrhea.

Mode of application:

inside, regardless of food intake, without chewing, drinking water. The drug should be prescribed in the shortest possible courses and in the smallest effective doses. The maximum recommended daily dose for long-term use is 400 mg. For symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis, the recommended dose is 200 mg / day. For symptomatic treatment of rheumatoid arthritis: 200 mg 2 times / day. For symptomatic treatment of ankylosing spondylitis: 200 mg / day. In some patients, the efficacy of the drug at a dose of 400 mg 2 times / day was noted. In the treatment of pain and primary dysmenorrhea, the recommended starting dose is 400 mg, followed, if necessary, by taking an additional dose of 200 mg on day 1. On the following days, the recommended dose is 200 mg 2 times / day, as needed.

Contraindications

childhood; hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, to sulfonamides; bronchial asthma, urticaria, or allergic reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs; after coronary artery bypass grafting; peptic ulcer in the acute phase; gastrointestinal bleeding; severe hepatic and renal impairment; pregnancy and lactation.

Precautionary measures:

May cause severe allergic reactions: facial swelling, asthma, shock, skin redness, rash, blisters; especially in people who are allergic to aspirin. In this case, you should stop taking the drug. Use with caution in patients with phenylketonuria, cardiovascular diseases, gastrointestinal diseases (risk of inflammation, bleeding, ulceration and perforation of the stomach or intestines). Consult a specialist before use. Do not use before or after heart surgery.
