Properties

Escin is the main saponin derived from horse chestnut fruit. It has anti-edematous and anti-inflammatory effects and contributes to the normalization of the tone of the walls of blood vessels.

An increase in the tone of the walls of blood vessels is the result of the stimulating effect of alpha-escin on the secretion of hormones of the adrenal cortex, the formation of prostaglandin PGF2a in the walls of blood vessels and on the release of noradrenaline at the endings of nerve fibers, as well as the result of the action of escin metabolites, similar to the effect of hormones of the adrenal cortex. These connections are responsible for increasing the tone of muscle cells in the walls of blood vessels.

Indications

-closed injuries, bruises and sprains;

local inflammatory reactions with or without edema;

-phlebitis of the lower extremities;

Dosage and administration

1 tablet 3 times a day, after meals.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Precautionary measures:

Contraindicated in chronic kidney disease, renal failure.

Side effects

Rare: gastrointestinal disorders and very rarely allergic reactions.

Storage method:

In a dry cool place at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees.
