Composition

Each 5 gram sachet contains:

L-Ornithine L-Aspartate 3 g

Auxiliary components:

anhydrous citric acid, vanilla flavor, sunset yellow dye, sorbitol.

Properties

Hypoammonoemic remedy. Reduces elevated levels of ammonia in the body, in particular in liver diseases. The action is associated with the participation of Krebs in the ornithine cycle of urea formation (the formation of urea from ammonia). Promotes the production of insulin and growth hormone. Improves protein metabolism in diseases requiring parenteral nutrition. It helps to reduce asthenic, dyspeptic and pain syndrome, as well as to normalize increased body weight (with steatosis and steatohepatitis).

Indications

Acute and chronic liver diseases accompanied by hyperammonemia. Hepatic encephalopathy.

Steatoses and steatohepatitis of various origins (for oral administration).

As a corrective supplement for parenteral nutrition drugs in patients with protein deficiency (for parenteral use).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to ornithine; severe renal failure (serum creatinine content more than 3 mg / 100 ml); lactation period (breastfeeding); children and adolescents up to 18 years old.

Precautionary measures:

If nausea or vomiting occurs, the rate of administration should be optimized.

Side effects

From the immune system: the frequency is unknown — allergic reactions.

From the digestive system: rarely — nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, flatulence, diarrhea.

From the musculoskeletal system: very rarely — pain in the limbs.
