Composition
Each 100 ml of lotion contains:
Betamethasone valerate 0.122 g (equivalent to Betamethasone 0.1 g)
Auxiliary components:
Carbomer, isopropyl alcohol, sodium hydroxide, purified water.
Properties
Betamethasone has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects by inhibiting the release of cytokines and inflammatory mediators, reducing the metabolism of arachidonic acid, inducing the formation of lipocortins with anti-edematous activity, and reducing vascular permeability.
Microdispersion of this glucocorticosteroid (GCS) in a non-greasy, odorless, non-marking, easy-to-rinse base provides effective skin penetration and rapid onset of action.
Indications
Steroid-sensitive scalp dermatoses such as psoriasis, scalp seborrhea, inflammation associated with severe dandruff.

Contraindications
Acne rosacea and acne vulgaris. Primary viral skin infections (eg, blisters, chickenpox). Hypersensitivity (hypersensitivity) to the drug. The use of the drug Betnovate is not recommended for the treatment of primary skin lesions with fungal (for example, candidiasis, trichophytosis) and bacterial (for example, impetigo / superficial inflammation of the skin, characterized by the appearance of abscesses that dry out with the formation of crusts) infection, perianal and genital itching (itching in the anus) and external genital organs). Dermatosis in children under one year of age, including dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) and diaper rash.
Pregnancy is also a contraindication.
Precautionary measures :
Side effects
Local reactions: burning, irritation, dryness, hypopigmentation, itching of the skin, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acne.
When using occlusive dressings — skin maceration, striae, skin atrophy, secondary infection, prickly heat.
With prolonged use — skin atrophy, local hirsutism, telangiectasia, purpura, hypopigmentation, hypertrichosis.
