Composition

Each suppository contains:

Potassium iodide 0.10 g

Ichtamol 0.15 g

Witch hazel extract 0.10 g

Auxiliary components:

Propylene glycol monostearate, propylene glycol 1540, polysorbitol 80, polyethylene glycol.

Properties

Potassium iodide has a powerful bactericidal effect. It is also active against fungi, viruses, protozoa, spores, and fungal infections such as sporotrichosis. Potassium iodide is also used as an antiseptic and disinfectant.

The drug has a mild astringent effect due to the properties of witch hazel extract and ichtammol. Thus, the drug is used to reduce the size of the prostate in BPH or inflamed prostate by dissolving fibrous tissue.

Indications

Relief of symptoms of acute prostatitis.

BPH.
