Compound:
Each 5 ml of syrup contains:
Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 540 mg
Carbinoxamine maleate 24 mg.
Auxiliary components:
Sodium chloride, maleic acid, sodium saccharin, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, sorbitol 70%, sodium citrate, caramel flavor, purified water.
Properties
The combined drug has an antihistamine, local anti-inflammatory and vasoconstrictor effect. Reduces the severity of local exudative manifestations, reduces the permeability of the capillaries of the nasal mucosa. Due to pseudoephedrine, it causes vasoconstriction and a decrease in swelling of the nasal mucosa. Eliminates the phenomena of rhinitis, burning in the eyes, a feeling of heaviness in the head.
Indications
cold symptoms;
Acute rhinitis (vasomotor, allergic, infectious and inflammatory);
sinusitis;
Dosage and administration
Children 6-12 years old take syrup 5 ml 3 times a day.
Children over 12 years old take 10 ml 3 times a day.
Contraindications
Arterial hypertension; thyrotoxicosis; pheochromocytoma; angle-closure glaucoma; prostatic hypertrophy; pregnancy; lactation period; children’s age up to 6 years; hypersensitivity to the components of the combination.
Precautionary measures:
Caution should be exercised in patients with chronic heart and vascular disease, as well as cardiac arrhythmias.
Side effects
From the digestive system: dryness of the oral mucosa, loss of appetite, dyspepsia.
On the part of the organ of vision: blurred vision.
From the nervous system: dizziness, headache, insomnia, anxiety, lethargy.
