Properties
The mechanism of action of the drug is due to its constituent components. Hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid hormone that inhibits the function of macrophages and leukocytes, limits the migration of leukocytes to the site of inflammation. It contributes to the stabilization of lysosomal membranes, thereby reducing the concentration of proteolytic enzymes in the focus of inflammation, reduces capillary permeability due to the action of histamine. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-exudative action.
Zincocaine hydrochloride is a local anesthetic and reduces the excitability of sensitive nerve endings.
Framycetin is an antibiotic from the group of aminoglycosides. It acts bactericidal on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
Indications
Hemorrhoids, especially those associated with inflammatory conditions.
Anal fissures, anal itching and proctitis.
Dosage and administration
One suppository is injected into the rectum at night and in the morning, and also after each bowel movement.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Precautionary measures:
Hydrocortisone is used only after appropriate proctological examinations and diagnosis.
Side effects
-local irritation or itching over larger areas;
— possible increase in intracranial pressure;
— depression of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal system (with long-term treatment).
