Properties

-Vitamin C as an antioxidant, metabolic and redox-regulating agent increases the adaptive capacity of the body and enhances its resistance to infections. It takes part in the regulation of redox processes, in the metabolism of carbohydrates, amino acids, pigments and cholesterol, in the synthesis of steroid hormones, catecholamines, in the process of blood clotting. Enhances collagen synthesis, stimulates regeneration processes, normalizes capillary permeability. Due to the activation of respiratory enzymes in the liver, it enhances its detoxification and protein-forming functions, increases the synthesis of collagen and prothrombin. Improves bile secretion, restores the exocrine function of the pancreas. It inhibits the release and accelerates the degradation of histamine, inhibits the formation of prostaglandins and other mediators of inflammation and anaphylaxis. It has an anti-inflammatory effect. Regulates immunological reactions (activates the synthesis of antibodies, the C3 component of complement, interferon), promotes phagocytosis, increases the body’s resistance to infections.

-Zinc is a structural component of biological membranes, cell receptors, proteins, and is part of more than 200 enzymatic systems. It takes part in immune and antioxidant defense reactions, blood formation, amino acid synthesis, in the preservation and transmission of genetic information. As a component of the protein that carries retinol, zinc, together with vitamin C, prevents the occurrence of immunodeficiency by stimulating the synthesis of antibodies and exerting an antiviral effect. It is necessary for the formation of red blood cells and other blood cells.

Indications

The drug is used for prophylactic purposes, as well as in complex treatment:

— Hypo- and avitaminosis of vitamin C.

— Deficiency of zinc in the body.

Dosage and administration

Biomed-C is taken orally with meals, with a small amount of water.

Adults are prescribed 1 capsule 1 time per day. With severe beriberi, you can short-term (for 5-7 days) take 1 tablet 2 times a day. The duration of treatment depends on the nature and course of the disease.

Contraindications

-Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug

Side effects

Often:Nausea, vomiting, heartburn, diarrhea.
