Composition
Each tablet contains:
Pancreatin 200 mg
Papain 50 mg
Inactive ingredients:
Croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, titanium dioxide, talc.
Properties
— Pancreatin digests carbohydrates, proteins and fats. It contains mainly the enzymes amylase, protease and lipase. They turn starchinto dextrins and simple sugars, proteins into peptones and oligopeptides, lipidsinto fatty acids and glycerol, respectively.
— Papain, which is extracted from Carica papaya fruit, is a proteolytic enzyme that exhibits a wide range of hydrolytic activity, acting on peptides, amides, esters and thioesters, and especially on bonds involving basic amino acids, resulting in lower molecular weight peptides. Enteric coating ensures complete delivery of enzyme content of tablets in the intestines without changes in the stomach.
Indications
-For the treatment of dyspepsia.
-Chronic pancreatitis,
-Cystic fibrosis or pancreatectomy.
Dosage and administration
Take one tablet 3 times a day with meals.
Contraindications
Individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
Do not take large doses of the drug for cystic fibrosis.
Warnings and precautions:
Side effects
Perhaps: allergic reactions, diarrhea or constipation, nausea, discomfort in the epigastric region.
With prolonged use in high doses, hyperuricosuria may develop, an increase in the level of uric acid in the blood plasma.
In some cases, in patients suffering from cystic fibrosis, the formation of strictures in the ileocecal region is observed after taking high doses.
Storage
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
