Iverzine 1% Lotion
Trade name:
Iverzine 1% Lotion
Composition
Each 100 ml contains:
Ivermectin 1 g
Properties
The active substance of the drug is ivermectin, which refers to compounds produced by microorganisms of the Streptomyces avermitilis group.
The mechanism of action of ivermectin on the parasite’s body consists in stimulating the release of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in presynaptic neurons, which binds to special receptors of nerve endings, increasing the permeability of membranes for chlorine ions and blocks the transmission of neuromuscular impulses. This causes paralysis and death of parasites.
Ivermectin has high efficacy and a wide spectrum of action (insecticidal, acaricidal and nematodocidal activity) and relatively low toxicity.
