Metacardia MR
Trade Name:
Metacardia MR
Composition
Each tablet contains:
Trimetazidine dihydrochloride 35 mg
Inactive ingredients:
hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.
Properties
This normalizes the energy metabolism of cells that have undergone hypoxia or ischemia. Prevents a decrease in intracellular ATP content, ensures the normal functioning of membrane ion channels, transmembrane transfer of potassium and sodium ions and the preservation of cellular homeostasis. Trimetazidine inhibits fatty acid oxidation by selectively inhibiting long-chain 3-ketoacyl-CoA thiolase, which results in increased glucose oxidation and restoration of the coupling between glycolysis and oxidative decarboxylation and has been shown to protect the myocardium from ischemia. Switching fatty acid oxidation to glucose oxidation underlies the antianginal action of trimetazidine.
Indications
Stable angina — as an additional therapy with insufficient therapeutic effect or intolerance to first-line antianginal therapy.
Dosage and administration
Take 1 tablet orally in the morning and evening with meals.
The duration of therapy is set individually, depending on the clinical situation.
Contraindications
Pregnancy, lactation (breastfeeding), hypersensitivity to trimetazidine.
Warnings and precautions:
It is not intended for the relief of angina attacks and is not indicated for the initial course of therapy for unstable angina or myocardial infarction in the prehospital stage or in the first days of hospitalization.
Side effects
Perhaps: allergic reactions (including skin rash, itching), dizziness, headache.
Rarely: nausea, vomiting, gastralgia, tachycardia.
Storage
At a temperature not exceeding 30°C
Package:
The cardboard box contains 1, 2 or 3 blisters of 10 tablets, paper leaflet.
