Composition
Each tablet contains:
Lisinopril dehydrate 20 mg
Hydrochlorothiazide 12,5 mg
Inactive ingredients:
Mannitol, dibasic calcium phosphate, maize starch, pregelatinized starch, magnesium stearate
Properties
Lisinopril is in a class of medications called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. It works by decreasing certain chemicals that tighten the blood vessels, so blood flows more smoothly. Hydrochlorothiazide is in a class of medications called diuretics. It works by causing the kidneys to get rid of unneeded water and salt from the body into the urine.
Indications
Treatment of hypertension.
Dosage and administration
It is usually taken once a day with or without food. Take lisinopril and hydrochlorothiazide exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
Side effects
Common: dizziness, headache, cough, excessive tiredness, pain, burning, or tingling in the hands or feet, , decrease in sexual ability,heartburn.
Rare: swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs, hoarseness, difficulty breathing or swallowing, stomach pain, upset stomach,
vomiting, fever, sore throat, chills, and other signs of infection, muscle pain, cramps, or weakness, yellowing of the skin or eyes, dry mouth, thirst, weakness, restlessness, confusion, seizures, decrease in urination, lightheadedness,
Contraindications
-You should not use this medication in case:
-if you are allergic to lisinopril; hydrochlorothiazide, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors such as benazepril, captopril, enalapril, fosinopril, quinapril, ramipril, and trandolapril; sulfa drugs; any other medications, or any ingredients in tablets.
-if you are taking valsartan and sacubitril or if you have stopped taking it within the last 36 hours.
Storage
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C away from heat and direct sunlight.
