Composition
Each vial contains 500 mg, 1 g or 2 g of cefepime (as cefepime hydrochloride).

Properties
Cefepime is a semisynthetic, broad-spectrum, fourth-generation cephalosporin with antibacterial activity. Cefepime binds to and inactivates penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located on the inner membrane of the bacterial cell wall.
Indications
In adults for the treatment of infections caused by pathogens sensitive to cefepime:
-Lower respiratory tract infections including pneumonia and bronchitis
-Urinary tract infections, both complicated, including pyelonephritis, and uncomplicated
Side effects
Infections and infestations:
Uncommon: oral candida, vaginitis
Rare: non-specific candidosis
Contraindications
following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:
Conditions:
-diarrhea from an infection with Clostridium difficile bacteria
Storage
Maxipime in the state should be stored at temperature not exceeding 30°C
